This 10ft raised bunded store is a new one-trip Cor-Ten steel container modified with a 300mm raised bund floor for the storage of chemical and hazardous materials. The 3mm Durbar chequer plate floor welds directly into the container base and rises 300mm above ground level — creating a deep liquid-tight sump that holds significantly more spill volume than a flat floor bunded unit. Furthermore, 12 vents provide the sustained airflow required for safe storage of flammable, corrosive, and volatile materials. In addition, the factory fitted lockbox and two locking bars per door secure the contents on any site.

Raised Bund vs Flat Floor — What the Difference Means
A 10ft raised bunded store holds more spill volume than a flat floor bunded unit. The 300mm bund height creates a sump that runs the full internal floor area of the container — 2.84m x 2.35m x 0.3m deep. That amounts to approximately 2,000 litres of containment capacity before any liquid reaches the door seal. As a result, this unit handles the largest IBC containers, drum storage configurations, and bulk chemical inventories where a flat floor sump would reach capacity in a single drum failure event. Furthermore, under Australian Work Health and Safety regulations and the Storage and Handling of Dangerous Goods Code of Practice, bunded storage facilities must contain 110% of the largest single container volume stored. The 300mm raised bund satisfies this requirement for most standard chemical drum and IBC storage configurations without additional secondary containment.
The 12 vents provide the sustained cross-airflow that flammable, volatile, and toxic vapour atmospheres require to stay below hazardous concentration thresholds. Moreover, the one-trip Cor-Ten steel body resists corrosion from chemical vapour exposure and external weather without repainting or treatment. In addition, the forklift pockets at the front allow repositioning on any flat site without crane support — useful when site layout changes during a project.
